Peggy Jackson, Archdeacon of Llandaff
Peggy moved to Wales in 2009. She was ordained in the Church of England (deacon 1987, priest 1994), where she served in a variety of parish ministries. She discovered Circle Dancing through a ‘Women in Theology’ group, in the early 1990s – and has led groups and workshops in a variety of church settings ever since, in order to share it more widely.
Circle Dancing is a vehicle for worship and prayer, both personal and congregational, while expressing with integrity an inclusive and easily-accessible theology. It is to be distinguished from liturgical dance in that it is not a performance by some for others. Peggy particularly values the incorporation of circle dancing into normal congregational worship, where everyone can be invited, and expect, to participate.
